A Society Shakes Itself Out of Feel-Good Trance: The Tarot Is about Coping

Image
Multiple threats to our way of life, be it the prospect of civil war or the wipe-out of white-collar jobs, are shaking society out of the feel-good trance. In Business Insider , Amanda Chicago Lewis discusses how that optimistic ethos overtook pockets of America. A prime driver had been the Chicken Soup for the Soul brand which had been extended beyond publishing (which went into decline) to pricey retreats and pet food. Now many are scratching their heads and deciding that isn't how reality operates.  During the past eight months clients for Tarot readings come not to exit the session feeling extreme optimism. Instead they want the hope of understanding what the solutions can be. For instance, not one since losing their jobs or contract assignments has rejoiced with the platitude: The universe knew I didn't belong there and I am blessed with the need to put myself on a new path. Instead, they are seeking the awareness - a benefit of the Tarot which The New York Times document...

Christine Blasey Ford, Idealist or Reckless? - What Do the Cards Say ...

Image
The Tarot, documents The New York Times, brings self-awareness. That, in turn, can help determine our behavior. As one wise client for my Tarot readings put it, "No one gives a rat's ass what I think or feel. What they see is only my behavior." In her memoir "One Way Back," the woman who spoke out against US Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in September 2018 - Christine Blasey Ford - explains her behavior back then. And its grim aftermath (as if the latter was unexpected). As many recall, in front of the US Senate and national television, Ford accused Kavanaugh of attempted sexual assault in 1982. Yes, that long ago. That was when they were in high school and he was drinking beer at a party.  She contends she was only coming forward at that late date because, given that he was going after the august responsibility of being a SCOTUS justice, it was her civic duty. After all didn't that reflect on his character?  However, many years ago Kavanaugh had b...

Psychics - What Business Are We Really In?

Image
Way back in the 20th century a very smart marketing expert at Harvard Business School - Ted Levitt - told industries this: You have to ask what business you are really in. Had the railroads done that and came up with the broad definition - transportation - it might not have gone into decline. It could have begun acquiring airlines, car companies and more. Today, psychics have to do the same thing if we want to seize the current opportunity is our category of work. There is increased interest in what value we can create for humanity. For example, in Manhattan, it is reported, psychics have become the new therapists. Instead of operating from an academically hardened school of thought we head right into the collective and individual unconsciousness. That "efficiency" makes the service more affordable than therapy. And faster at solving problems.  Right now, through my sideline of communications coach, I am assisting brandname psychics to define their selling proposition. Wh...

Talk to The Cards

Image
The pain of loneliness can get in the way of solving problems. I experience that frequently when engaged in Tarot readings. The clients intuitively knows what to do about a situation at work or a relationship. But they can't pull all that together because they are distracted by the ordeal of feeling so alone. So, they contact me for a formal reading.  They do have, though, the option of learning to talk to the cards on their own. That they can do whenever they want and without needing to contact a professional Tarot reader.  Yes, there is a such a thing as DIY Tarot readings.  And it can lift the sense of aloneness. Those communicating with the Tarot are connecting with Spirit or the Universe. Here is  the guide provided by The New York Times  (yes, the Times endorses the Tarot).  And, here is the  five-step guide  I have developed for those needing a reading to be able to provide themselves with it on your own. But if you are not up t...

Standing Up for Yourself - Few of You Will Land on Your Feet like Brittany Pietsch

Image
"They were playing around with my schedule. I had to stand up for myself." That was what a client (identity masked) vented in a Tarot reading. A chill went down my psychic spine. They had, as we used to call it, "mouthed off." This was not the first time. Although I did not pick up that termination was imminent, it was a strong probability. They needed that job. Even in boom times when employers chased talent and employees had the upper hand, it had been a negative to lash out to a superior (or even in the grapevine) in frustration As the old saying goes: "They" remember your bad days, not all your good ones. Currently that could trigger losing the job. The employer mindset is "Do we need this worker?" It is the era of extreme cost-efficiency. Thousands, not hundreds, apply for most job openings. There is no shortage of those willing to take the job you experience as such an emotional or spiritual burden. That's just the reality right now. ...

Painful Long Half-Life of Trauma: Did Prince William Marry His Mother?

Image
It was September 6, 1997. A number of psychics such as myself entered a grief trance. We became one with the trauma of Princes William and Harry as they walked behind the coffin of their mother Diana. The pain, I keep picking up, likely hasn’t abated in substantive ways. (Currently, it is agreed, placing them in that forever visual of their personal histories was thoughtless and cruel.) Here we are. It is said that boys marry their mother and Harry seemed to do exactly that in choosing Meghan Markle. Like Diana, she was never going to fit in. There was going to be lots of hurt to go around.  The surprise, though, is that the supposedly less fragile William might also have married his mother in choosing Kate Middleton. We don’t know that, do we? But there is reason to speculate that’s might have been exactly what occurred. Amid the conspiracy theories circling about MIA Middleton (There has been a recent photo op of her mother driving her in car), is this one in the 03-...
