Running since September 20, 1999 "Law and Order SVU" has codified rigid plots and themes. Background on those are all accessible on the internet to generative AI. Into the ChatGPT prompt could go: Write a 46-minute screenplay for "SVU" on sexual exploitation by medical professionals with Noah Benson a victim." The graphics part of ChatGPT can simulate the actors for the episode. 

For other kinds of programming the task might be more complex but still quite doable. For example: Tell generative AI to create a series about moral corruption as a means to a good end as in "Breaking Bad."

Meanwhile even the mystical trades are not beyond the reach of generative AI. For 2023, MarketResearch.com had estimated revenues for the psychic services industry will total about $2.3 billion. But that might not play out. As Daily Star reported yesterday: 

"AI replacing psychics as 'fortune telling' droids put tarot readers out of work"

The implications are huge. For instance, a tourist location like Salem, MA, whose major industry is psychic services, could find itself "The Next Youngstown, OH." That city never bounced back after the steel industry collapsed. This year Halloween could be a bust in Salem. The only hope is if the industry leaders such as those overseeing Angelica of the Angels rebrand for wellness.

Among those left standing primarily in a generative AI world (in addition to the AI strategists and front lines of implementation) could be the hands-on workers. Or, maybe not.
