The Tarot and The New York Times

"Jane," so many of you ask me, "How come tarot readings are so popular now?"

Those of you asking remember the time when going for a tarot reading was, well, lumped in there with those New Age fads.

Now, even The New York Times reports that having a tarot reading is a legitimate tool for self-awareness.

What has changed is a growing acceptance of intangible or invisible means of connecting with both the self and what forces may be influencing. For some, that aligns with the overall spirituality movement. There is a craving for answers beyond the traditional sources in America such as career counselors and psychotherapists.

What I have found in my decades of association with the tarot is that most professionals get blocked because they really don't know who they are and what they are looking for in work - besides earning a good living. The mysticism of tarot allows them to reach beyond that blockage. Often just choosing one card from the 78 cards in the tarot deck will kick off that process of intense self-discovery.

(Entertainment only. One-card reading for $30. Payment by PayPal or Zelle. Please schedule appointment with Jane at janegenova374@gmail.com or text 203-468-8579.)
