Aging In America: Yes, You've Lost Ground, How to Head Off Homelessness

It's cheaper than psychotherapy. So, the aging in angst about whatever tend to come for a tarot reading versus an appointment with a therapist.

,More and more the anxiety is about losing traction in controlling expenses. BusinessInsider documents that reality:

"The share of all Americans living below that adjusted poverty measure grew from 9.1% in 2020 to 13.1% in 2025. For Americans 65 and older, that rate grew from 9.4% to 15.4%."

Homelessness isn't unthinkable.

To head that off I guide those over-65 to:

Be willing to pull up roots and relocate from HCOL area such as the East Coast to a LCOL one. That includes getting on waiting lists around the nation for subsidized housing. That's usually billed at one-third your income such as Social Security.

Keep working. That's income coming in. Having work tends to lead to better work.

Unretire. You probably can no longer afford to not work. There's plenty of free info on the internet how to develop job-search materials. Put the resume and cover letter through free GPT. Practice interviewing with those who haven't left the workplace.

Use Food Banks. No shame in that.

Consider no-car transportation options. E-trikes are catching on. Yes, you can insure them on a personal property policy and get road service through AAA. Yes, you can keep them in your house, apartment or garage.

Never shop retail again for clothing. Thrift shops are the new cool. You can even find in them brandnames that can be used for job interviews.

Volunteer. That pulls you out of isolation. As a result, you will think more clearly.

About half of my clients are 50 years of age or a bit older. It's never too early to develop a realistic fear of running out of having enough money.

You deserve success, deep connections and inner peace.

Let’s Remove what's blocking that with an Inspired Tarot Reading.
