Stock Futures: Know That You're Blessed (and so many others aren't)

 Let's cut to the chase. Those of you who invested could be feeling financially secure. Maybe not financially comfortable, as in being able to afford a month in London or the option to trade up to a bigger house. 

Financially secure has become the new Promised Land. And you might have arrived as the run of the bull continues. Stock futures at 9:00 PM ET are up over 90 points.

If you read the personal posts on LinkedIn and the anonymous ones on Reddit, Fishbowl, Glassdoor and Blind you realize that more and more are financially in NoWhereVille. No job. And losing hope about finding one, no matter how much it might pay lower than the job gone poof months or even years ago. 

In the tarot the Nine of Wands symbolizes becoming lost.



How can we help them? 

Well, we don't have to fix things. That's not what compassion is about. And the times call for compassion. During the brutal Industrial Revolution, novelist Charles Dickens called that "the milk of human kindness." 

The current milk of human kindness is to be there, fully present, listening to the undercurrent of emotion. Not providing advice, unless asked for. 

Why not just offer a cup of coffee?

Aging - Holding On To Sense Of A Self

  The Wall Street Journal fingers retirement for the epidemic of a loss of self among the aging.  However, the process can kick in as soon as anyone senses they are no longer young. Gone is their youthful self. Denying aging, they don't invest in creating a new self - and continually bringing up to date that identity. By time there is a shift from a demanding career to part-time, freelance, entrepreneurial or no work there is no emotional, physical and spiritual platform to keep building on. We Are All Paul Weiss - And Now We Are Different

 Paul Weiss has been the tipping point.  The Executive Order by the current administration - the third issued - got to us. How vulnerable we all are to power. Forget the grade school lessons about what America is about. Forget how university deans caved during our counterculture protests.  Yes, and forget "rights"  as being sacred. Here's what we now know. The key driven in that EO was that a lawyer who had been a partner at Paul Weiss years ago - Mark Pomerantz - had landed on the US President's enemies list.
