Evangelical churches are surging in growth. 

A fundamental is the embrace of Jesus to fill every human need. At the top of list is having a sense of safety, especially in these upside-down times. 

The charismatic interactive services include turning one's life - every aspect of it - totally over to Jesus. If anyone in the congregation has trouble with that kind of surrender, after the service you can go into the prayer room. You'll join hands with another human being who'll assist you in leaving self-will behind and follow the message of Jesus. While in the prayer room you'll probably be given a free bible. There's no jar for donations. 

The dominant presence of the evangelical has delivered the meme of Jesus as a sort of all-in-one DIY tool for emotional enlightenment, connection with what's outside the realm of rationalistic human experience, templates for leadership, intimacy that can be trusted and plenty more.

That, of course, can take away market share from psychotherapists, psychics, executive coaches, dating sites and more.

To remain in demand and because I myself have been reborn at the Calvery Congregation in Sierra Vista, Arizona, I have retrofitted both my tarot-reading and intuitive coaching practices as faith-based. During the previous six months there had been less business. Such a phenomenon isn't idiosyncratic. For example, here is Sierra Vista, three secular-oriented psychic services have shuttered. At today's psychic fair in which I participated, traffic wasn't brisk. Obvious also there's a glut of psychics in attendance.

What has been so satisfying in providing Jesus as the multi-dimensional solution is its effectiveness. Not only do clients experience immediate emotional relief. They can access the strength to look at their problems and the motivation to try out what might work.

Aging - Holding On To Sense Of A Self

  The Wall Street Journal fingers retirement for the epidemic of a loss of self among the aging.  However, the process can kick in as soon as anyone senses they are no longer young. Gone is their youthful self. Denying aging, they don't invest in creating a new self - and continually bringing up to date that identity. By time there is a shift from a demanding career to part-time, freelance, entrepreneurial or no work there is no emotional, physical and spiritual platform to keep building on. We Are All Paul Weiss - And Now We Are Different

 Paul Weiss has been the tipping point.  The Executive Order by the current administration - the third issued - got to us. How vulnerable we all are to power. Forget the grade school lessons about what America is about. Forget how university deans caved during our counterculture protests.  Yes, and forget "rights"  as being sacred. Here's what we now know. The key driven in that EO was that a lawyer who had been a partner at Paul Weiss years ago - Mark Pomerantz - had landed on the US President's enemies list. Of course there were other things about Paul Weiss, such as its mission for diversity, which didn't sit well with MAGA ideology. But that stuff probably was small potatoes.
