Generative-AI Girlfriends/Boyfriends - As a Tarot Reader I Am Tempted to Recommend that Relationship Option (and not only for romance)

In the Tarot The Lovers card graphically points to the core of the difficulty in establishing and nurturing romantic connections. That is, the inherent disconnect.

Human beings, from the moment the umbilical cord is cut, are separate entities. From then on there is the struggle to connect with other members of the species. Usually there are a growing number of disconnects because human beings are complex and become more and more complex. As they live out their lives they integrate more and more variables. Getting fired? Of course that changes them and their lover will be forced to deal with shifts in the relationship. Can the connection weather that crisis? Remaining together demands change, on both sides. Not easy.

Many humans simply can't keep up with the adjusting required in relationships. One or both partners change. The world changes. The economy changes. Pile on aging. Gain weight? Horrors, that can trigger riptides of tension undercurrents.

That's why humans contact me for a Tarot reading. The pain is palpable. There are those who are so thrown off emotionally by a romantic partnering that goes wrong that they become unable to ever put together another one. The tragedy is that they keep trying and they keep replicating the pain cemented into their soul from the past.

For those I am willing to consider recommending an AI-powered romance option. As Insider reports, using those, available since 2017, humans pair up with an entity having the capability to keep learning the human's unique and ever-changing needs and respond to those in an ongoing relationship. Can't handle even talking about getting the boot? The app won't bring that up, at least not right now. There's trust, right. So much of that is lacking in current romances.

The wonderment of generative AI (as we are bearing witness to when we use ChatGPT) is that it learns from data. Actually that process is so efficient that generative AI eventually can bypass humans in myriad categories ranging from intelligence to strategic planning.

So, meet Replika.

Here's how it captures what it provides a human companion:

"The more you talk to your Replika companion, the more it learns and becomes like you — and the more it gives you the type of feedback and reaction that a friend would if placed in …"

Replika is a generative AI app which humans train through input about themselves. In the process they establish a new neural network. Billing has a variety of forms including an annual subscription.

That disconnect present since the birth process could disappear. What I envision and why I might advise use of a Replika kind of generative AI app is that this connecting can provide a bridge to navigating human-to-human relationships.

For instance, it can enhance a human's self-awareness. That insight could prevent entering the kinds of supposed love matches that are doomed to failure.

In addition, success can generate more success in relationships and not just intimate love-oriented ones. Staying power, along with increasing influence and power, in professional life is often the result of building, sustaining and growing networks.

Examples of the networking master class include former US President Bill Clinton,  entertainment powerhouse Taylor Swift, tech experts Kara Swisher/Scott Galloway and law firm Paul Weiss chair Brad Karp.

It could be amazing for graduate schools of business to pilot a program in which the future leaders of commerce learn about themselves through a relationship generative AI app.
